Tachograph analysis
Tachograph analysis for Irish hauliers
Every download checked by our own team in Donegal Town, with infringements explained in plain English. Self-managed from €4 a vehicle a month, or fully managed for €120 a month.

What we check
What tachograph analysis covers
Driving time
Daily, weekly and fortnightly driving limits, including the two longer driving days allowed each week.
Breaks
The 45-minute break after four and a half hours of driving, taken in one go or split into 15 and 30 minutes.
Rest
Daily and weekly rest periods, including reduced rest and the compensation owed for it.
- Driving without a card or with the wrong card
- Missing mileage and unexplained gaps
- Overdue driver card and vehicle unit downloads
- Infringements grouped by driver, so you can see who needs a word
Two ways to do it
Self-managed or fully managed
Pick the level of help that suits you. Both come with the same analysis and reports, and you can move between them at any time.
- Self-managed: €4 a vehicle a month. You get the analysis and infringement reports and review them yourself
- Fully managed: €120 a month. Our in-house team reviews every download, explains infringements in plain English and keeps your records ready for the RSA
- Prices exclude VAT. No long contracts, cancel with 30 days’ notice
The rules at a glance
EU drivers’ hours in brief
These are the main EU limits we check every download against. They apply to most goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in Ireland.

| Weekly driving | 56 hours |
| Two-week driving | 90 hours in any two weeks in a row |
| Breaks | 45 minutes after 4.5 hours of driving |
| Daily rest | 11 hours, or 9 hours up to three times between weekly rests |
| Weekly rest | 45 hours, or a reduced 24 hours that has to be made up |

Inspections
When the RSA comes calling
If the RSA asks for your records, every file is already in your online account and can be pulled up in seconds. On the fully managed service our team helps you gather what’s needed and talks you through anything on file, so you’re not facing an inspection on your own.
Regular analysis also means problems get caught and dealt with long before an inspection, with a record that you acted on them.
Downloads
Remote tacho downloads
Analysis is only as good as the downloads behind it. Our remote downloads collect driver card and vehicle unit files automatically, so nothing goes missing.
Questions
Tachograph analysis questions
Do you analyse the data yourselves?
Yes. Our own team in Donegal Town reviews it, not an overseas portal, and you can ring us to talk through any report.
What files do you need?
The .ddd files from your driver cards and vehicle units. With our remote downloads they come to us automatically; if you download them yourself, you can upload them instead.
What is an infringement report?
A list of every breach of the drivers’ hours rules, by driver and by date, with a plain-English explanation of what went wrong and how to stop it happening again.
Can I switch from my current provider?
Yes. Bring your existing files and we’ll take it from there. There’s no long contract, just 30 days’ notice.
How much does it cost?
Self-managed analysis is €4 a vehicle a month and fully managed compliance is €120 a month, both plus VAT.
